Life is too short…. for the wrong job

Are you bored with the monotony of your work life? Do you wake up every morning with the same bored expression? Do you have an indifferent attitude towards things? Do you feel the need to do more, or even something entirely different? Are you not able to picture your future?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, my friend, you are doing the wrong job.

A great job would make you feel inspired, enthused. It is something you would look forward to doing everyday, something that would push you out of your bed. But if your present job does not make you feel all that great, you might not be doing what you want to do.

Think about it, are you happy with what you are doing? Unless you are in your absolute dream job, you are probably working towards some higher goal in your career. Does your present job allow you to expand, to explore, and to expose yourself to more, directing you towards the achievement of those higher goals? If it is not, you need to start looking out for jobs where you can gain expansion and exposure.

Are you able to leverage your skills? Are your ideas taken into consideration? Are you given the liberty to work your way? People thirsty for knowledge have their own ideas, which they would like to put to action, to analyze how it works. A good job should give you the flexibility to work your way, and to take ownership to work. Good companies usually emphasize on the result, not the process.

Most of us fall victims to the cycle of life; wake up, eat,  get ready, go to work, work and work, get  back, eat, sleep, and REPEAT! We just become too comfortable and used to what we are doing that we don’t actually ask ourselves if that is what we want to do. Life is too short for you to be doing the wrong job. The most rewarding feeling in life is looking back at it and feeling content, personally and professionally.

Cheers, to following your heart!!
